Well checks are a time to sit down with your provider and ask about any concerns you may have about your child’s development, receive preventative care including blood pressure, height and weight, physical exam, vaccines and anticipatory guidance about nutrition, safety, behavioral concerns, and sleeping patterns. Screenings are also done at well checks including assessment for anemia, lead screening, autism, tuberculosis, depression and anxiety. Screening allows for early recognition of many illnesses, ordering necessary lab work, and allow for informed diagnostic decisions.
Use of urgent care centers, or other minute clinics for well child visits do not provide the same level of comprehensive care as they are not equipped with the knowledge of your child’s and family medical history.
Please see below our schedule for well visits. We encourage you to call our office if you have any questions about well child exams, or to schedule an appointment.
